We are a group of women and Darrell who are committed to finding a cure to Breast Cancer. We participated for the first time in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer in Calgary in 2005 (all as walkers - 60km over 2 days - no small feat) and we return for the 2006 edition as a mixture of Walkers and Crew Members. Together we are working towards the End of Breast Cancer.

It only took 27 days...

Well, here's the official update from Chrissy - the community of Lloydminster and surrounding areas has stepped up and surpassed the No Hair Extraordinaire's goal of $10,000 - with 7 days to spare. Can't wait to see what the final number is next week when the hair is flying!!

Hey kids,

Thanks to a generous donation from a guy who really wants to see TJ go bald, we are now over the $10,000 mark… $10,936.46 to be exact!!! Hooray!! (Brenda, that includes the $70 you told me about today)

And, we still have donations to collect from TJ, and the head shaving at Santec on Friday, so I’m thinking we’ll be closer to $15,000 or $20,000 by the time we’re through. I’m in shock, I can’t believe the response, and I can’t thank you and everyone who has stepped up enough – this is beyond anything I ever expected.

Hope to see you all here on Tuesday for the shaving – noon, main entrance of the Atrium Centre.

And, anyone who would like to join me at Santec this Friday for their shaving party (and help me convince Curt a.k.a Excellen-C not to shave his moustache) you’re more than welcome! It’ll be at 3pm at the Santec shop at 4401 - 52 Street this Friday.

Okay, that’s it… I’ll keep you updated as more moolah comes in!!

Thank you all so so so so so so much!!!

This is going to be HUGE!!

It's official , The Goat has launched the "No Hair Extraordinaire" and the response is already overwhelming. Chrissy called to say that she has had phone calls with offers of more heads to shave, help with fundraising and just a big "Whoo Hoo - this is AWESOME"!! Can't wait to see how this unfolds!

Losing the Lovely Locks...

New Details have emerged...

July 4th, 2006, those long lovely locks you see in the picture above will be shaved from my head…provided you, our wonderful listeners, are willing to pay the $10,000 bounty! Hey, it's a small price to pay for me to go bald, and for the Alberta Cancer Foundation to be able to do more in their fight to find a cure for this disease. But your $10,000 not only gets MY hair (which will be donated to Locks of Love and made into a wig for a child with cancer)… it'll also take the hair from the heads of 2/3 of The Goat's Morning Breath, Dani Rohs and Jeremy Dodge; our new Newsie, John; and my fiancé and Goat producer, Dave!

So go ahead... donate! Click "this link" to make a secure donation online; buy a Breast Cancer Bracelet from our Goat Gear locations in Lloydminster, Vermilion and Cold Lake; or, drop off or mail your donation to the Goat Studios, today!! (If you're donating $10 or more, don't forget to include your name and address so we can send you a tax receipt, too!)Remember, every penny gets us closer to a cure, and hopefully every inch of hair from me, Dani, Dodge, John and Dave will help get us there a little bit faster : )

On behalf of my team, Hoofin' for Hooters; my Auntie Carol and Gwen whose strength keeps us going; and the many other men, women and children who have battled with cancer in all its many forms, I thank you for your support.

And remember... we ARE the end.

Much love to you all - Chrissy

Click here and donate online. Whether it's $1 or $100, every cent counts.

Shave Her Head - Find A Cure!

This is Chrissy's Big Hair Extraordinaire... the ummm lovely 80's ensemble is only normally adorned for special occasions, bowling night and random internet postings. (Isn't she the cutest thing ever? Work that blue eye shadow!!)

Let's shave her head and find an END TO BREAST CANCER!!

The Beginning of the END!

We are team Hoofin' for Hooters and we are once again participating in Calgary's Weekend to End Breast Cancer. This year our team is made up of both walkers (Go Gwen and Carey!!!) and Crew (who walked last year - Faye, Darrell, Chrissy and Claire) - with more to join. Last year as a team, we were able to raise over $15,000 for Breast Cancer research.

This year, Chrissy has come up with a hair-brained idea... she will shave her (long, flowing locks) for Breast Cancer. Details are still to be confirmed, so stay tuned. This fundraiser will be done in conjunction with The Goat, 106.1fm (www.borderrock.com) and we need all of the support we can get.

Visit our team webpage to make a donation, and stay tuned here to follow our progress!
